Resume:
Location: Daita, Setagayaku, Tokyo, Japan
I am a graduate of the FullSail computer animation degree program.
I also am a graduate of the University of Maine, with a B.A. in Theater and a Minor in Dance. I feel the two degrees complement each other very well. For example, my training in dance gives me a good idea of how I should animate 3D characters in a realistic yet aesthetically pleasing manner.
Despite only pursuing artistic fields in my education, I have a pretty keen analytical mind. If I had been more mature when I first went to college, I might have pursued a degree in math or programming. Spoiled and idealistic, I went straight into college from high school without having had a real job at that point, and took the classes I thought would be interesting without an eye towards employment once I entered the job market.
Once I finished college, I moved to Tampa, Florida to resume my study of Chinese martial arts with my instructor who had moved there from Okinawa, Japan. After a short stint working at a friend's restaurant, I moved to Orlando and spent two years working for Orange County in several recreational pool-related aspects.
While the job paid the rent, I always went above and beyond what I was required to do and was never recognized for it. Dissatisfied with my position and the lack of advancement possibilities, I started looking around for other work when I discovered FullSail's campus in Winter Park.
After some deliberation, I enrolled, determined to absorb every facet of my education. Having grown up since my first time in school, I threw myself into classes, making sure I experimented with the optional tutorials and barely mentioned tools.
Of course, the hardest part comes now. At this time I haven't been able to find employment, even as an intern, but I'm still hopeful. That said, please take a look around and feel free to e-mail any questions, comments, or jobs you might have for me.
