The Mantis Mask
Inspired by the Emperor's house in the Hawkmoon trilogy by Michael Moorcock.
My first real attempt at NURBS patch-modelling.
I also thought I'd try my hand at a certain style of Meats Meier's art. I'm not sure quite how he does them, but his 3D wire sculptures are amazing, and from what I figure, take an insane amount of preparation and execution.

The Dodge Tomahawk
I had wanted to make a "futuristic" looking bike, and when I first saw the news about the Dodge Tomahawk, I knew I had found something that was crazier than anything I could conceive, and yet it actually existed.
The future is here already!

Argonnek
Usually robots are slow and boxy. When conceiving this robot, I wanted it to be angular and quick, powerful yet light on its feet, like a cat. As a result, I call it the "Cat Mech". Of course, I still had to give it the weird name of "Argonnek".
I modelled the entire project in NURBS, then converted the surfaces into polygons and reduced them to get a rough triangle count of 3500.

Ninja Tycho
I have mentioned elsewhere that I enjoy reading online comics. One of the most popular is Penny Arcade.
Having created a 3D model of the Cardboard Tube Samurai, I decided to model his counterpart, Tycho, as the complementary Japanese archetype: a ninja.

Cardboard Tube Samurai
From the pages of Penny Arcade:
Inspired by the introduction of the character Gabe as the "Cardboard Tube Samurai", I created this 3D model.
